YOPD Connection
Getting a Parkinson’s diagnosis is tough, getting that news while you’re still working, raising kids, or juggling a busy life can feel overwhelming. Young-onset Parkinson’s (YOPD) comes with its own set of questions: When do I tell my boss? How do I talk to my kids? Should I keep working? What even comes next?
Our YOPD Connection group is here for all of that. We meet once a month in person in Irvine, and our conversations and guest speakers focus on real-life topics that matter to people navigating Parkinson’s in the middle of their careers, family life, and everything in between—whether you’re in your 30s, 40s, 50s, or beyond.
And if jumping into a group feels like too much right now, that’s okay. If you’d prefer a one-on-one chat with someone who has been through it and gets it, we can connect you with a peer who’s been down this road.
You don’t have to figure this out alone. We’re here when you’re ready.

YOPD Online
Because many with YOPD are juggling schedules of work, family, and trying to stay well, finding the time to meet in person can be tough. Fortunately, there are multiple sources online that you can check out and participate in right from home. The Young Onset Parkinson's Network is dedicated to helping those with YOPD and a good place to start. You may want to check out the links below for some inspiration and valuable education.
