Saddleback Care Partner Support

The Parkinson's CAREGIVER Support Group at Saddleback Church-Lake Forest focuses on the person who is the CAREGIVER for the one affected by Parkinson’s Disease. This is often the spouse, a family member, or a close friend who finds themselves in circumstances they never prepared for, let alone even thought of. For everyone involved it can be similar to the trauma and grieving process of a death in the immediate family. Add to that major changes in family routines and responsibilities, being replaced by unfamiliar doctors, medical procedures, and medications, then dealing with unfamiliar symptoms of PD, diet issues, timing multiple medications, Sleep Disorders, Chronic Fatigue, mood swings, Depression, Anxiety, and having to learn a whole new language to help your PD partner describe they feel like C#&P!
